The Children’s Home has long been a special ministry for the Matecumbe United Methodist Church donating our offerings on months with a fifth Sunday, gifts for the children at Christmas, and an “empty your pocket of change” jar at the church Narthex.

The Florida United Methodist Children’s Home is a diverse ministry that includes residential care, therapeutic group care, foster care, emergency shelter care, independent living assistance, and community child care center. Throughout its history the Florida United Methodist Children’s Home has been a blessing to all that have come into her care.

The Matecumbe United Methodist Church participates in the food and clothing pantry as well as the Tuesday weekly dinners at the Baptist Church along with the Baptists and several other local organizations.
